Policies & Family Agreement
These policies help keep SASP safe, fair, and consistent for all students and families. We may update policies as the program grows.
1) Attendance & Schedule
- Days/Time: Monday–Thursday, 5:00–7:00 PM.
- School calendar: SASP follows the school calendar. Summer program details will be shared in late May.
- Minimum commitment: Families choose a schedule at enrollment. A minimum of 2 days/week is required.
- Absences: Please notify us as soon as possible if your child will be absent. No refunds for absences.
2) Drop-off & Pick-up (Safety First)
- Authorized pickup only: Students will only be released to adults listed on the intake form.
- Sign-in/out: Families must sign students in and out daily.
- Late pick-up: Pick-up is by 7:00 PM. A grace period ends at 7:10 PM. After 7:10 PM, late fee is $1 per minute.
- Repeated late pick-ups: After repeated late pick-ups, SASP may require a meeting and/or adjust enrollment.
3) Tuition & Payments
- Drop-in (1–2 days/week): $15 per day.
- Committed (3–4 days/week): $10 per day.
- Payment due: 1st of each month.
- Payment methods: Zelle or cash.
- Non-payment: If payment is not received, SASP will contact the family to make a plan. Continued non-payment may pause attendance.
4) Academic Support & Materials
- Students receive homework help and targeted tutoring (reading, math, writing as needed).
- Reading focus: Daily guided reading and skill practice supports fluency, comprehension, and confidence across all subjects.
- Families are encouraged to send homework folders, teacher notes, and any helpful learning information.
- IEP/504 support: Families may upload/share relevant plans (if they choose) so we can support students appropriately.
5) Behavior Expectations
We use a supportive approach that teaches skills while maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Be safe (hands/feet to self, safe language).
- Be respectful (listen, follow directions, use kind words).
- Be responsible (try your best, take care of materials).
- Phones/devices: Personal devices may be kept in backpacks unless a staff member approves use for learning.
Progressive Response (Chances)
- Reminder + coaching
- Warning + short reset break
- Parent/guardian contact
- Meeting + behavior plan
- If behavior continues or involves safety concerns, SASP may shorten the day or pause enrollment
6) Bullying & Harassment
- SASP does not allow bullying, threats, or harassment.
- Reports are taken seriously. Staff will investigate and document concerns.
- Families will be contacted, and a plan will be created to keep students safe.
7) Health, Allergies, & Snacks
- If snacks are provided, they will be nut-free when possible.
- Please list allergies/medical needs on the intake form.
- If a child is ill (fever/vomiting), please keep them home.
8) Photos, Privacy, & Communication
- Photo permission: Families choose whether photos/videos may be taken for internal program use.
- Confidentiality: SASP protects family information. Student records are not shared publicly.
- Teacher communication: Families may allow SASP to communicate with teachers for general academic focus areas (no confidential school records shared).
9) Emergency Procedures
- Emergency contacts must be current and reachable.
- In an emergency, staff will contact families and follow ORC safety procedures.
10) Family Agreement
By enrolling, families agree to follow SASP policies, keep contact information updated, and support regular attendance and respectful behavior.
